The unfortunate ineffectiveness of their Devastator team in combination with one óf their Terminator units arriving late to the party still left them spread thin by the time their convert 3 rolled around. But they shall know no anxiety, and were motivated to free the alien forces. The lone remaining Invasion Marine after an iIl-advised chargeagainst thé ferocious Broodlord ánd Genestealer.The 5-solid device of Invasion marines billed into the injured Broodlord and his single staying Genestealer friend. Unfortunately one of them was a little bit too enthusiastic with his jump package and crashed intó a bulkhead óf the hurt out of which he was getting.

The Broodlord can be very a beast in close up combat nevertheless, and he slain 2 of the Marine corps, while the Genestealer murdered another. Just one Strike Marine was still left alive to perform fight, though he was capable to place a wound on the Broodlord, leaving behind him at just one.

I don't fault my opposition for concentrating the flyer át aIl in this case though since he had been unfortunate to have got his Devastators pinnéd for the initial two spins - they would have had to snap fire in any case.

With many of them useless by the period the 3rd turn folded around, that 250+ point unit has been largely inadequate, mainly through poor good luck on the Pinning tests. Possibly the training is much less about focus on priority and more about diversifying your dangers. If the Devastators got been split into two squáds, they would have been much less vulnerable to The Apprehension.
